Deadman Wonderland, that was initially printed in English by TOKYOPOP, is being made available again through VIZ Media. The primary volume is an adventure story that features horror, sci fi and fantasy, and contains a fine mystery going on with all the significance of the red glass that went into the torso of Ganta, the red man, as well as the uncommon penitentiary. In addition, it gets the claustrophobic anxiety about not being believed and of being penalized for a crime one did not perpetrate.

This publication reveals the weirdness and unpleasantness of the Deadman Wonderland penitentiary introduces the characters, and finishes using a cliffhanger, swearing to take off more in another volume. It is simply a little little longer than your typical manga, and it is not bad to have it back in print.
