Some works illustrate architecture and figures of importance, but the majority that go viral inevitably reflect pop culture and hot topics of the year.

So as you’ve probably already guessed, Pikotaro, the comedian behind hit song PPAP, was one to receive a snowy sculpture at the 68th Sapporo Snow Festival!

And we can’t forget his pen, pineapple, apple and pen either!

If you’re a Final Fantasy fan, this will definitely make you want to jump on the next plane to Sapporo just to witness this. Titled “Decisive Battle! Snow Final Fantasy”, this Cloud and Sephiroth sculpture was created to celebrate Final Fantasy VII’s 20th Anniversary.

What’s even better is that the festival holds light shows utilizing projection mapping after dark, a truly epic sight that anyone can appreciate.
